The Retsch Test Sieve, 200 x 25 mm, 1.70 mm Woven Wire Mesh, Stainless Steel, ISO 3310-1 is a precision woven wire mesh sieve used to separate and classify particulate materials by size. Built to ISO 3310-1 with a 200 mm stainless steel frame and a 1.70 mm aperture, it delivers accurate, reproducible particle size analysis for laboratory and industrial quality control. The woven wire mesh and robust half-height frame make it a dependable choice for routine sizing, material characterisation and repeatable test results.
Supplied ready for use in standard 200 mm sieve stacks, it nests with matching sieves, lids and collector pans for full particle size distribution analysis.
It is used to separate and classify dry or wet particulate materials by size, most commonly to measure particle size distribution during quality control, incoming goods inspection and research. Particles larger than the 1.70 mm woven wire mesh aperture are retained while finer material passes through.
Stainless steel woven wire mesh resists corrosion and wear, so both the frame and the mesh hold a stable, accurate aperture across repeated use. This supports consistent results and makes the sieve suitable for wet sieving as well as dry material.
The frame is 200 mm in diameter and 25 mm high, with a nominal woven wire mesh aperture of 1.70 mm to ISO 3310-1. The half-height 25 mm frame is useful where sample volumes are small or where more sieves need to fit within a shaker's clamping range.
Yes. The 200 mm diameter is an industry-standard format that fits 200 mm sieve shakers, including the Retsch AS 200 range, and it can be nested with other 200 mm sieves to build a full analysis stack with a lid and collector pan.
Yes. Alongside this ISO 3310-1 model, woven mesh sieves are also available to ASTM E11 in frame diameters of 100, 200 / 203 (8 inch), 300, 400 and 450 mm, with mesh sizes from 125 mm down to 20 µm. Perforated plate sieves are also available to ISO 3310-2 / ISO 5223 in frame diameters of 200, 305 and 400 mm, with aperture sizes from 125 mm down to 1 mm. Choose the ISO 3310-1 woven mesh format shown here for fine to coarse particle sizing to the ISO standard; select ASTM E11 where your method or accreditation specifies it, or perforated plate where larger apertures and robust screening are required.
