- Narrow pore size distribution and high pore density support rapid surface capture of analyte
- Negligible absorption and adsorption of filtrate; nonhygroscopic
- No particle shedding enables clean filtrate
- Biologically inert
- Filters are autoclavable for 30 min at 121 °C
